ChemTrials was a prototype created in 48hrs for the 2018 Abertay Serious Game Jam and was one of 3 selected by the judges for further consideration. The core concept was to create a tool to help budding chemists entering university to familiarise themselves with a lab setting. The gameplay revolves around completing a simple experiment, following the lab instructions and safety procedures. Minigames are included to simulate specific lab tasks such as measuring out volumes.
ChemTrials was created using Unity using git for source control. I worked as part of team for this project and I was personally responsible for programming the core gameplay mechanics including object interaction, experiment objectives, main menu and UI.
